CDK Company performs jaw-dropping synchronised choreography on “Somebody That I Used To Know”

The incredible rendition of Gotye’s “Somebody That I Used To Know” by the Dutch dance group CDK Company featured incredibly inventive choreography. The dozen or so dancers put together an eye-catching and unique dance routine that went viral right once, garnering 6.6 million views on YouTube. The film includes several tight, synchronized dancing sequences that must have taken numerous hours to master, in addition to some inspirational solo performances.

The simple, artistic cinematic clip for Gotye’s hit song is quite striking. The CDK Company cleverly created its own unique rendition of the song after seeing there was potential for a larger production. Director and choreographer Sergio Reis did a fantastic job of presenting the piece in an engaging way in addition to the outstanding dance performances.

“We had such an incredible experience working on this piece and we’re so excited to finally share this with you all,” Sergio Reis said in a comment about “Somebody That I Used To Know,” one of the performances by CDK Company that he has been releasing on his YouTube channel. The group’s primary goal is to “provide high-quality training within a collective,” but they can also put on a good show.

Fans of the CDK Company’s rendition of “Somebody That I Used To Know” left positive reviews on YouTube, saying things like, “This performance is really great because every dancer is really into their role.” “This is the Pringles of dance—I literally can’t put the lid back on it; I want to watch it over and over again,” and “This is amazing.” This is truly a masterwork. A popular video from CDK Company is their rendition of “Gimme Gimme” by ERAM.

Sergio Reis releases CDK Company productions annually, although this year we were treated to back-to-back releases of “Somebody That I Used To Know” and “Gimme Gimme” in February.

CDK Company’s version of “Somebody That I Used To Know” was the group’s breakout success on YouTube, becoming the company’s first video to surpass one million views.

“Somebody That I Used To Know” had the same effect on Gotye’s career, propelling the small-time singer-songwriter into an international star. The track went to number one in his homeland and eventually became the biggest selling song of 2012 according to Billboard’s year-end Hot 100 chart.
